I have a 1660 Super and my friend has a mpg z390 gaming plus motherboard that he wants to sell, my current motherboard is still stuck on ddr3 so I want to upgrade to a new motherboard. If i got this motherboard would there be any compatibility issues with the graphics card or will it be fine? If so, then what cpu/ ram should i get along with it?

It's a relatively new board, so it will not be a problem.

You can get an 8th or 9th gen Intel cpu with it.

As for the ram, any DDR4 will do.
