I have a similar problem, but I have just above minimum specs with a 3400g. I use integrated graphics. The game will freeze after 15 mins, and I don't know what the problem is. I can run other games well, just not this one. When the game freezes, it just kicks me out.

First thing to try is turning your settings down a bit, even if your PC is over the recommended specs it still might not be enough to get the highest settings running flawlessly

Ok, just a thought, does GTA give any options for Direct X 11, or even 12? If so you could try those. Are you on GTA Online as well? The high demand at the moment could be contributing to the problem

Just another thought, have you got the GeForce Experience app? If so try using this to set GTA 5 to the optimal settings that it recommends
