Tablet or No Tablet?

Okay, so I go to College studying A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. At the moment, I have my desktop, my iPad mini Retina, and a Nexus 5. Although I really love my tablet, I find that, although I do use it, especially for YT videos on the bus to College, it distracts me quite a bit once I get home. I've been thinking about replacing it with a Windows tablet for productivity purposes, but in studying Science-based courses, the work is pretty much all text-book based, and so I don't have any need for any mobile productivity.

I guess what I'm asking for it confirmation: Should I sell my iPad and save the money for something like a GPU upgrade this Summer? (which is sorely needed - Star Citizen) Or keep it and risk distraction and therefor possibly affecting my grades.

I'm putting up a poll, but it'd be nice to see some posts too.

-snip-

Lol!

But I think it's a wiser decision to sell the tablet and focus more on better grades.

Watch out, there might be ninjas out there

Sell it.
I had an iPad. never really used it. sold it. been happy ever since. (I have nothing against apple. would have been the same if I had a galaxy tab/nexus/whatever.)

I had a Nexus 7 for 2 days. Realized I wouldn't use it that much, and I sold it to my mom. Lol.

if you love something don`t sell it

Agree!

Why sell it if you enjoy it? If you realy want to concentrate, then you just leave the ipad alone for a few hours.

To have less distractions for studies, it maybe would be better to sell it.

On the other hand, it is also important to have your mind off of studies when you don't need to, as that can help relieving stress (but sometimes it can cause them due to not doing work when the deadline is near)

My opinion: keep it and try focusing on studies if possible.

But because you need a new GPU, and the tablet you're talking about is an iPad, sell it. Not being a fanboy, but second-hand Apple products tend to sell for more than similar products, especially if it's the latest generation device (= more profit to be used for a new GPU).

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

That's the line of thinking I was going down. It's still the latest generation so should sell for a pretty decent amount.

To others who said if you like it, don't sell it: I'd rather make sure as little as possible impacts on my grades, and my self discipline isn't the best in the world either. I go to the best College in the county, and for me, that means a 3 hour round trip. I get back home at about 7:20pm. By that point I'm pretty tired, making it easier to give in to temptations.
