Motherboard Audio problem

Hi all

for some reason my motherboard the Asus Maxiums Vi forumula

doesnt pick up my headset the Corsair vengence 1400 when plugged in

how ever it picks up my moniter and also my dac but not my headset

 ps the Os I am running is Windows 7 ulimate sp1

 

please help

Does the headset work on other computers?

Does the headset work on other computers?

Yes how ever my motherboard doesnt pick up my

headset and install the required device drivers

Does it pick up an unkown device in the device manager?

Plug in the headset and check under device manager and see if there's an unkown device. So we at least know there's a handshake.

Nope all i get is

Nivia High Defintion audio

Nidia Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)

Realtek High Definition Audio

 

Ps would do a screen shot how ever i get

a error saying you are not permitted to use that file extension
