Hey guys so I made another thread last night that my gpu is dying it has these red line / dots on the screen,

anyways I was told to try and underclock it since I have a OC from factory card but when I opened up afterburn everything

is greyed out so I deleted it and installed precision x and what is does is I open it and it just closes nothing ever shows up

if I check in task manager nothing is there, also sound stopped coming from my computer only gpu side I can still hear from headphones if I plug in..

What could I do so the applications can open or see the gpu?

thread that shows the problem:

EDIT: also cpu z sees it but not all the info

Looks like the card may be dying.

Have you tried using DDU to remove the drivers and Geforce Experience to reinstall them?

Display Driver Uninstaller from Guru3d.com, your issue seems to be the card going out. It not being detected and the artifacting is usually an indication of the card being on it's last legs. If uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers does not fix it, the next step would be to try a fresh Windows install if you have not already. If that doesn't work it means it's a hardware related issue with the card. Likely with the age of the card it's time is up.

okay after several restarts and mini heart attacks it works again but as soon as I try and update the driver it black screens so this gpu is staying on I dont even know what driver its on

If it was DDU'd it will not have a driver so it will need to be downloaded and installed, typically with geforce experience if it will not install and crashes/black screens during installation it likely means it's not going to. Sounds like the card is done, might be time to cut your loses and get a new one.
