Modem issues. Internet Drops Connection Constantly

Hey all, I've been having an on-going problem with our connection going out at random and staying out. Past week it goes offline for up to 10 hours unless I restart the modem. Which leads me to believe it's a faulty piece of hardware, router works fine and they've replaced this same model 4 times already from the same issues and latency spikes.

I'm currently using their rental modem which is the Arris TM1602A, and I'm thinking of just buying my own to save on the rental fee plus the added benefit of hopefully having stable internet. Is the model they gave me any good? I've tried researching it but haven't been able to really find any information or anyone's thoughts on this model. Would I benefit from buying a new one that is more highly praised for being "Stable"

 

Current Modem: Arris TM1602A

ISP: Spectrum

ISP Speed: 150 mb
