Is this a good list? Should i choose the 9700k over the 3700x?

Also, does the motherboard need a bios update for 3000 support? The asus website says yes but some other places say no.

depending on your video editing program of choice you may be able to utilize quicksync on intel cpus

if you want a good cheaper air cooler, go with the arctic freezer II one. 280mm preferably, if it fits your case.
