I tried upgrading a dell Inspiron 580 with a GTX 760. The power supply is a 650 watt Corsair, so that’s not the problem.

the things I’ve done so far:

- update BIOS to latest version (A07)

- reset CMOS with battery-method

- DDU old drivers (HD 5450)

- reseat the gpu

the old one, a HD 5450, is still working.

the gtx 760 is confirmed working on another system, just like the rest of the pc, the cables and the screen.

anybody know a way to fix this?

edit: I am talking about a black screen/no video output

I don’t have different display cables :( I’m poor lol

Gpu gives green led,

mobo gives orange, but it always did, and does it with the 5450 as well, although it works.

There’s only one.

there are 2 pice x4 slots, but those do not deliver enough power.

and there’s an x8 slot, but it’s turned, so power cables are not possible to connect that way.

Edit: i ment that there is just one x16

I might know the problem...

the i3 530 has integrated graphics!

i don’t have the drivers installed but will try anyways.

Whilst booting with the 5450 it flashed something like “alert! Previous booting attempts have failed at checkpoint ....”

maybe that tells me something?
