Hello, i come here for help because i'm not that tech-savvy.

Initially i received a PC with the following specs:

ASUS Geforce GTX 1080Ti

16GB X 1 RAM

Intel i7 8700k 3.7GHz

ROG STRIX B360-G Gaming

Cooler Master MasterWatt Semi-Modular 650 650 W

While i couldn't afford to upgrade it yet, i was playing on this at max framerate on my old monitor (75Hz 1080p), games like Metro Exodus and Crysis 3 on high / ultra.

Now that i have installed a second (identical) RAM and changed my card to RTX 2080 Super, i changed my monitor to 144hz 1440p and the games struggle to have decent framerates at medium - high settings. Doing even the slightest overclocking (through things like msi afterburner) will cause stuttering and often will even crash games. I've tried to tinker around in bios with memory and cpu but it hasn't improved performance in the least, and i've had people tell me that it's running as it should. Thing is, i've watched various videos, benchmarks of people running the game much better with worse GPUs on same settings and i really have no clue what could be causing this

I've attached the performance of Metro Exodus (High / 1440p / x16 Texture Filtering). The framerate isn't max even in the menu, and drops to 87-105 in a comparatively small area (and hilariously, pausing the game drops the framerate).

faster ram improves frametimes, so yea

btw if ur pc fails to boot just remove mobo battery for 10 sec to restore bios settings.

also can u do quick userbenchmark.com and post results?

ye thats fuking disaster, did u close all programs before runing userbenchmark? but anyways ur CPU have very high cpu usage in idle but that can be if u had something like discord running in background, also make sure ur ram sticks are in second and fourth ram slot from cpu to be running in dual chanel and definatly turn on XMP that latency is at ryzen levels lmao
