5700XT Vulkan Issues

Go to solution Solved by PAPO1990,

Well I thought I'd chime back in now that I've seemingly fixed it. I had to dig around in the Windows registry after DDU-ing and delete every entry related to AMD gfx drivers and Vulkan. Now that it's working I'm SUPER happy with the performance, and I won't have to try and sell it for a 2nd hand 2080 :P .

Now I just have an issue with the Bethesda.net launcher for Doom Eternal, but I can launch it from the .exe so I'll make do.

Long time viewer, new forum-er... But I'm getting a bit desperate.

I recently upgraded to a 5700XT Liquid Devil (from an R9 390X), and after solving a bunch of issues, I'm left with Vulkan not working.

Diagnosis:

Doom Eternal: Won't launch

Doom (2016): Wouldn't launch until I changed the config to use Open GL

3D Mark: In the API overhead test the Vulkan test simply doesn't happen

GPU-Z: The Vulkan box is not checked in the features at the bottom.

So Far:

Yes I've DDU'd MULTIPLE times, I've tried a few different versions of the driver.

My MoBo Bios is up to date

Windows is up to date (or was yesterday, some small updates next time I reboot but I doubt that'll do much)

I've run "sfc/ Scannow" with no issues found.

Pls Help. I'd like to finish Doom Eternal (I started it on my 390X) and a Vulkan wrapper seems to be the solution to Test Drive Unlimited 2 being broken (yes it's an old dead game, but there's some community support to keep it running, and I WAS playing it on my 390X).
