Budget (including currency): $1000ish USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Computer Science and Cyber Security Classes, moderate gaming (Apex, COD, CS:GO, Valorant, etc.)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a Logitech G413 Carbon and a Corsair Ironclaw, but will need a monitor and Windows. I would like to buy here within a month or two, probably playing at 1080p 144hz. I have wanted to make this switch for a while, and the change in majors justifies it for me lol. Thanks for any tips and suggestions.
