What's the problem with it? It's still a high end system today.

hi and thanks for replying back .. it  was a pre built and i changed out the aio the ram the power supply and added the evo ssd and the fans and the evo ssd .. but it feels lacking still like its bottled necked somewhere some games feels smooth and others not so much. would you recommend overclocking  as you can tell i am new to the pc world i have had this pc about a year and a half

If you want you can OC the 1070 ti a bit, that's the bottleneck in this system. If you are really looking for an upgrade wait until RTX 4000 series is out and buy a used 2080S or something.

ok thanks i will hold out then also what should i do to get into 240hz ??

IMO, 1440p 144hz is the sweet spot. If you are trying to push 240hz you might as well just crank the settings up some more. Unless your playing in a competitive game like CSGO, you really don't need anything more. Try and get a nice 1440p 144hz monitor, cheap ones won't serve you well. Check out the LTT video on it:

Thanks so much I have a omen right now and it’s not so great lol so I definitely look into a 1440 144hz monitor
