Hi,

I'm very frustrated right now because over the years I kept having issues with Uplay. I can't keep count of the number of games I've had to redownload and reinstall because they would stop launching, or the times my saved games mysteriously disappeared without the customer support being able to do anything.

I still like some of their games and would like to know what would happen if I buy them on Steam or another platform. Would they still be handled by the platform or will I be required to have Uplay installed?

By the way, since the customer support hasn't been available for me although I've been trying to get in touch since yesterday, maybe I can find some help here: I launched AC3 and my PC crashed. Since then, I cannot access my saved games and the cloud sync keeps failing. I used the repair tool but it didn't find any issue and I really don't feel like starting the game over.

I also noticed that The Division 2, which I installed this summer is redownloading so apparently Uplay lost 40GB+ of data for no reason.

Thanks

Ubisoft games will undoubtedly require you to use Uplay, regardless of where you buy the game.

It sucks. I know. This is Ubishaft

It's too bad for them. I'll probably stop playing with their games right now because I'm sick of this shit. I mean Origin, Epic, and even Steam have their own issues but this is way too much.
