So i'm a console gamer that has always deemed pc gaming too expensive but now have the means to get into it. This is also my first time in any forum!

Im looking to build a purely gaming pc with usage for basic web browsing, i'm finding it hard to choose between AMD and intel. I'm leaning towards an i9-9900k with a rtx 2080 ti.

Would i see any real performance dip getting an i7? And also am I overlooking AMD?

Thank you in advance

Rgb is fine with me!

Thats unreal mate, thank you!

you want to wait for 6months to new gpus and cpus are coming in august? if not you can always sell the 2080 ti and get new 3080 ti if you want

but that is pretty much the best build that gamer can get.

I have thought about that, hence how vague the post started. I will most likely build later this year, with the world being as it is atm. So the wait for the new parts releasing wouldnt really be an issue. I suppose a 3080 ti and a 2080ti would just be a toss up when i get to it of price/performance atleast i know a 2080 ti isnt a bad choice!

I guess with new cpus coming i would have to re ask the question when they become available also!
