How much RAM are you using?

More RAM won't make things faster, unless you're slowing down due to needing more than 16GB.

It will only make a difference if it is using all of that RAM. Does the RAM usage ever get that high? If yes you can upgrade but you probably wont see that much of a difference in terms of performance if it isnt maxing out the RAM.

You won't see ANY difference unless it's maxxing out.  Not a little, not probably, not ANY.

Buying RAM without need is a serious waste of money.

32 gigs isnt neccesary unless you are doing video editing. Other than that you could save up for other stuff like a new GPU, or just a better case, sleeved cables, etc.

I would upgrade to 3600mhz if you can because amd is more ram hungry than intel and keep it 16gb ram ddr4 though

You dont need to, you can just up the frequency a bit in the BIOS.

It's really simple though, 10 minutes is definetly better than spending 80 USD.

32 gigs is probably only used for lots of video editing or if you are getting max ram usage a lot, although I can't imagine what game would need more than 16 gigs

Heavily modded Ark, for one.  That's over 16GB used in total system RAM for it. I'm sure there are more, but that's what I bought more RAM for.  Well, and cuz I have retail therapy impulse control issues :)

Yeah, some minecraft mods are crazy, there was this one that I heard about on the PCMR subreddit that needed 32 gigs of memory to run well, but was very realistic.

I noticed that on my old laptop I had before I sold it to get a decent prebuilt pc from msi but now I’m tempted to get parts and just build one cos I find the built one will be better
