Budget (including currency): £500ish

Country: United Kingdom

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Modern gaming, Streaming, YouTube

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Okay folks, I have a build which I built approx 6 years ago, and haven't upgraded since. It still works perfectly well, just not as well as it used to with the new titles constatly coming out (with their increased demands!)

Case: Be Quiet! Pure Base 500

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Micro ATX AM3+

CPU: AMD FX-6100

CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo

RAM: 8GB Crucial Dual Channel DDR3-1600

GPU: XFX Radeon HD 7850

Storage: Palit 120gb SATA SSD

Storage 2: Western Digital Blue 1TB 7200rpm

Storage 3: Toshiba P300 1TB 7200rpm

PSU: AeroCool 750W 80+ Bronze Semi-Modular

Obviously it's a tight budget, so any advice on the best way to upgrade atm, whether to stage it by getting a better GPU first, then upgrade the cpu down the line (because that will require a new montherboard and DDR4 RAM instead).

I leave this in your capable hands.

Edit: Although it's using a Micro-ATX board at the moment, the case does support Full ATX should that work out a more viable route to go down.

Current Gaming Build:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600  |  GPU: GTX 1660 6GB   |  Motherboard: MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX AM4  |  RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200  |  PSU: AeroCool 750W 80+ Bronze Semi-Modular  |  Storage: 120GB Palit SSD, 1TB WD Blue, 1TB HDD, 1TB Toshiba P300 HDD  |  Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo  |  Case: Be Quiet! Pure Base 500

not a great psu, if you can spare an extra 65£ at some point, get a corsair txm550

Would you advise doing the PSU before or after the other upgrades?

My thought process was that although it’s fairly cheap, the one that’s in there is at least 80+ certified.
