Is this a prebuilt? Normally you might encounter some power supply issues with those. Most does not come with additional power header due to the custom psu. Plus additionally, most prebuilt pc has narrow case so clearance might be an issue too

 

Though if its possible to switch out the psu, a 1080 heck any card is possible. 

 

Now the question is, what cpu do you have. If you have those quadcore i5 6th gen or so, bottlenecking will be an issue.

Im with the mentaility of "IF IM NOT SURE IF ITS ENOUGH COOLING, GO OVERKILL"

GPU             : ASUS RX 580 Dual OC (Formerly ASUS GTX 1060 but it got corroded for some odd reasons)

CASE FANS       : Mix of ID cooling fans, Corsair fans and Rakk Ounos (planned change to ID Cooling)
DISPLAY         : SpectrePro XTNS24 144hz Curved VA panel
MOUSE           : Logitech G603 Lightspeed
KEYBOARD        : Rakk Lam Ang

HEADSET         : Plantronics RIG 500HD

Kingston Hyper X Stinger

 

and a whole lot of LED everywhere(behind the monitor, behind the desk, behind the shelf of the PC mount and inside the case)

It is a prebuilt and it has a Intel Xeon E5 2630 @ 2.30GHz but i removed the quadro card for 1050Ti. I dont know if that info helps.

The motherboard will support it, but will your CPU be able to fully utilise it? Will your PSU have enough power for it?
