Budget (including currency): 1200 USD or Less

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Nier Automota, Conan Exiles, Overwatch, Stardew Valley, EMULATORS FOR SNES AND 64, probably some light editing for profile pictures, youtube, Wikipedia, and tons of READING.

Other details 1080p minimum, 60hz Minimum. ( Because his last laptop was 60 fps )

Tl;Dr My friend wants a new computer for Nier Automota since his last one died

I'm know he wants to spend as little as possible but I convinced him for 1200

with 1200 dollars you can get much and much better desktop than laptop:

Motherboard tier list. Tier A for overclocking 5950x. Tier B for overclocking 5900x, Tier C for overclocking 5800X. Tier D for overclocking 5600X. Tier F for 4/6 core Cpus at stock. Tier E avoid.

(Also case airflow matter or if you are using Downcraft air cooler)

Gpu tier list. Rtx 3000 and RX 6000 not included since not so many reviews. Tier S for Water cooling. Tier A and B for overcloking. Tier C stock and Tier D avoid.

( You can overclock Tier C just fine, but it can get very loud, that is why it is not recommended for overclocking, same with tier D)

He ended up getting this laptop after all. It's just too bad it doesn't come with an Ethernet port

Laptop is not a "real" computer.
