Random PC Crashes (Mainly VR)

Over the last 2 or so months my PC will crash when mostly trying to play VR games, but also sometimes trying to load random games such as Fortnite (that aren't hard to run). Me and a friend have been trying to figure out the issue, we've come to the conlusion it's not temperature related as all componants are at a normal temperature before the crash. The most recent thing I've upgraded in my PC is my GPU, I now have a Nvidia GTX 1070. We thought maybe it could be the powersupply as I bought my PC originally pre-built but have upgraded everything other than the power supply and harddrives. The powersupply fan is facing downwards and as i have a carpet we thought maybe it could be suffocating but I've lifted it to give it air and it still crashes.

OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

RAM: 4x Corsair 4GB RAM 2400mhz (16GB total) 

CPU: Intel Core i7 7700K @ 4.20GHz

GPU: Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

Motherboard: MMSI B250M MORTAR (MS-7A69) (U3E1)

Storage: 931GB Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB (SATA (SSD))
               298GB Western Digital WDC WD3200AVJS-63B6A0 (SATA )
               1863GB Seagate ST2000DM001-1ER164 (SATA )  
                External 931GB Western Digital WD Elements 1042 USB Device (USB (SATA))

PSU: Coolmaster 600W

 

If anyone has any ideas of what it could be, I'd really appreciate it!

My guess is that you have all drivers up-to-date? Right?

I could recommend changing the psu. Most prebuilds come with a very low end power supply.

Yeah i have everything up to date. Yeah that's what i was thinking, Just didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new PSU if that wasn't the problem. Thank you!
