Virtualbox won't boot Linux

Hi

I have a laptop (Asus X553SA 2015) (windows 10) and I try to launch a Mankato KDE plasma virtualbox virtual machine I configure the setting right (eg language (en-GB) Keytable (qwerty UK) and I go to install it but all I get is a black screen with a flashing white cursor.

Please help!

Mankato Linux? Did you meant Manjaro or is that a thing? Edit the kernel line in grub, add nomodeset to the kernel parameters. Once you do that - try booting to the Linux install. Once there - install Virtualbox Guest Addition and reboot. See if that works for you. Also - try different Linux distributions (iso) and see if any of them boot. I recommend ElementaryOS or Pop!OS.

Regards.
