I have been trying to download AC4 since christmas and cause i can only download at around 80KBs and only over night it has taken me this long cause the download would reset when the game had an update. I have finaly got to 19GB out of 22GB and im so close but now it seems ti be stoping its self over and over agen. I press resume and 3 seconds later it stops. please please what do it do

Desktop: CPU: I7-5820K GPU: 980Ti, 750Ti PhysX Mobo: MSI X99A SLI PLUS RAM: 4x4 Kingston DDR4 2400MHz OS: Win10
Storage: 250GB Samsung Evo, 3TB WD Black and Green FIRESTRIKE, Reason for dedicated PhysX Card.

Peripherals: Screen: 3x BenQ VZ2350 Mouse: Razer Naga Keyboard: Some Dell Thing Sound: Razer Tiamat, 5.1 Logitech Surround Speakers

Try limiting the auto-update and set the from-to time as the same. I'm not sure if it'll work, but it's worth a shot.

Tride that i have spent all day looking on google i dont know what to do it just wont download

perhaps you are being limited by your ISP? Have you tried a VPN?

VPN? ok i know what one is now but why would it help?

This will checks to see if your ISP is throttling you. VPN, virtual private network, created a tunnel between you and another network. Think of using your friends network without needing to be at his house.

 

If you are able to download AC4 using the VPN without your current issue of it dropping every 3 seconds, it maybe your ISP placing limits on your internet usage on steam downloads.

 

Note: I am in the United States so unfamiliar with how Australian ISPs function.
