Wireless Firewall

Andrew666drew

Same as any firewall, to prevent bad people from doing harm to your network and your machines.

Most commonly used for packet inspection and port blocking (ie. port 5000 used for backdoor viruses).

People are sometimes confused because the router and the firewall have essentially become one thing over the years.

Something wrong with your connection ?

Run the damn cable :)

You wont need one, every router has a sufficient firewall built in. A separate firewall is more useful for SMB's (small medium business) and is a money waste for home users.
