So about 3 days ago, out of nowhere my pc reset with both screens turning black. Now it constantly blinks on and off any time I open or close something and blinks with black squares constantly I have used DDU to wipe the driver didn't do anything I moved ram didn't do anything I am not sure if it;s the graphics card or not

I have a gtx 970 and it's only about 2 years old, although I did just put a new cpu fan in aswell. I am not sure of the problem I reallllly could use help with it.

Sounds like a faulty card to be honestly, but it could be the PCIe slot or the connection.

So my advice would be to re-seat your card into a different slot.  And if that doesn't fix it try boot from a Linux USB and run some apps, play some videos and see if you get any artifacting. It could be some software on your Windows PC as well.

While everyone likes to think they know what these issues are caused by, truth is it's troubleshooting until it works and usually you never really understand what caused the issue in the first place.

Switched sockets, no change also I don't have a linux usb or a way to get my hands on one. but I did notice the graphics card isn't tight in either of the sockets it hangs down abit, could it be an issue with the motherboards sockets? I cleaned them out with no change.

I figured it out, I am an idiot... When I had initiallly installed the cpu I put it in the wrong way.. and it was causing my ram to bug out I was seeing 10gb ram when I have 12gb ram. Just goes to show kids don't be an idiot like me make sure to put the cpu in right!
