Bios and M.2

Dear reader,

 

I recently upgraded my motherboard and put a new blank M.2 into it. I go to boot and it goes to the bios to allow me to use my installation media. I then accept it to boot to my installation media, and no post. Like the bios isnt even there. I then think it's the M.2 I put the M.2 drive into another computer and format the drive. Then I put it back into the machine it came out of and power on. I then get the post again. When I try to boot to my install thumbdrive it then restarts and wont post. I restarted it for the sake of it and no post whatsoever. I have been troubleshooting, watching youtube, and researching for the past 2 days and still nothing. If anybody knows how to fix this please let me know. Thankyou for reading this!!!
