New Gaming PC

Go to solution Solved by Dravinian,

I put this together, it is like the skeleton of the build.  Avoided ASUS given your previous expriences.

This build would handle VR just fine, these are all top end components.  However, there is no flash, no RGB and currently no cooler.

The Core P3 case is quite flash, but no way to mount more fans, it is a very open case and will have some noise.

It is 1,000 euro within your budget, so gives you lots of playing room to change parts, up grade here and there (could get a 3950x for instance).

I want to build a new gaming PC on my own. The last time I built one was with my father together, 18 years ago.
My PC was around 8 years old and broke last week.

PC Build:

- Budget:  3500€
- Zip Code or Location: South Germany, Bavaria
- Specific Use: (VR-)Gaming PC
- Games:
- VR: Half Life: Alyx
- Non-VR: Resident Evil 7 / 2 Remake, Warframe, Tom Clancy's Division 2, Monster Hunter World Iceborne and future games

- Any preferred components?: I would like to use a Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti | I would like to have a Motherboard with 6 USB Ports on the back
- Any spare parts you can re-use?: No
- Overclocking your processor?: Never did it,
- Need an Operating System?: No.
- Need a Monitor? / Mouse? / Keyboard?: No, I have everything
- Need a Wireless Card or Adapter?: No
- Need Another Component? (Specify): Could be an RGB build

Other Useful Info

- Preferred Case Features (Ex: Color, Side Window, Flashy): Easy access case with 3 front USB Ports, two of them USB 3.0.
- Number of Monitors: 1 new 4k PC Monitor, 1 TV and one Oculus RIft. I want to plug in all at once.
- Other Info?: I had a lot of trouble with components from ASUS, in my now dead PC. 2 graphic cards broke and at last the motherboard died. All three from ASUS.

- Other questions:
Is a water cooling CPU and/ or graphic card worth it or is a fan (ex. Noctua NH-D15) enough for the CPU?
I don't mind a bit of noise.

Is a SSD M.2 worth it?

Thank you all for your help 🙂
