hey if you can afford a 1000W 80plus platinum powersupply and not regret it why not xD?

and if you can go to the platinum 1600mhz cl9

for me a 1600mhz to 1866mhz feels like not a big jump

either go 2133 or 1600 just my opinion. but pretty much a better bang for your buck would be the 1600mhz. and the extra cash might go to the 4930k if it's available or something. or the 4960x.

the asus x79 e-ws is awesome too.

anyways something like a corsair ax860i or the seasonic 1000w platinum is something I'd recommend if you ever want to buy a 1000w psu.

Live your life like a dream.

I have a pretty similar build and i'm using a corsair AX860i.

And my rig wont even consume enough power to make the fan turn on.

Unless im benching or in a demanding game.

Heck even in most games the fan wont go above 500RPM or so.

The highest power draw i have seen during benching is around 700W

Granted that's kind of the reason why i went with that PSU in the first place.

Other then the fact that my 550W old PSU couldn't handle my new rig.

But but yea the psu is still over kill but its silent so i don't really mind the extra cost
