Upgrading my storage

So I currently am using x1 500gb hdd and x1 1tb hdd for storage and I am looking to upgrade. Not sure if my motherboard can use a m.2 or if I’d just have to use an ssd but either way it’s better than my hardrives now. My motherboard is a ASUS Maximus VI Hero

you don't have m.2 slots, so a good sata drive such as the crucial mx500 would be a good option
