I currently have a EVGA NEX650G

It doesn't have any real issues. But someone told me it is a group regulated PSU and that is not the best.

I'd like to upgrade to the better (non regulated)  and quieter PSU.

I've looked over the their list and can't pin point exactly what i should get.

Budget: $150 or less

Preferred wattage: 650-750

thanks guys

indeed, NEX Gold or G1 is based off FSP Aurum, and is group regulated

considering your budget and wattage preference here, I would currently choose this one: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/n34BD3/enermax-revolution-df-650-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-erf650awt

well, what you want is independently regulated. Group regulated is when 3.3v and 5v are handled by the same voltage regulator, while independent regulated PSUs have separate 12v, 3.3v, and 5v.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
