This is a good suggestion. OP, try this.
Also, if that doesn't work, you could try and reset your CMOS. You can google that for you specific motherboard, but usually there is a jumper to reset it. Unplug PC from power, short those jumpers (you can use the end of a screwdriver, or your house key) for a few seconds, then plug back in and try and start. That will effectually reset the BIOS to factory default (on your new BIOS version, it doesn't downgrade your BIOS or anything).
Try these things and report back
