Black screen on windows startup

PapaChubs

So I recently just built a pc and everything went well I installed windows and went to update my graphics drivers and it black screened in the middle of it and once I restarted my pc it would go to boot windows then black screen again. I've looked online on how to fix it but I can only disable the device in the device manager and that temporarily fixes it until I go to update them.

Specs

Xfx rx 580 8gb

16gb corsair ram

Amd ryzen 5 1600

Try going the safe mode and rollback the drivers of your graphics card.

how to enter safe mode:

1. on boot hold the power off button or reset

2. keep doing it until it says Preparing automatic repair

3. wait for it to fail

4. Then click advance options

5. click startup settings

10. then find your graphics card driver and click roll back (Find it in display apdaters)

11. Restart when done

if it doesn’t work find a updated driver in Safe with networking.

hope that helps.

It don't have a rollback option since I don't think there was one installed previously. I've looked online and seen that using an older version of the drivers will work so I'm trying that right now.

I would check through windows update or do a fresh install

did you double click the display driver there should be an option (if it’s gray out try find an older driver)
