Do you frequently add important data? If not I wouldn't worry about it and replace it if it breaks. For instance I usually only add games to my storage and if it fails I can just download them again on a new drive. If you do add important data on a regular basis you should look into a raid setup so you don't lose data if one of the drives fails.

Well of course if your internet connection sucks it can be a pain, but tbh I have 30 games installed and play maybe 5 of them, so it's kind of irrelevant to me :D
