Mouse glich when playing games.

Hello,

Having a problem and hoping someone can help.

First as a slight background i used to play most games on console but  recently it died so i decided to try PC.

Recently bought an Alienware M17 R2 and a logitech G502 light speed mouse. I am currently using a logitech black cloth mouse pad.

Problem i am having is when playing games like tomb raider or the new resident evil 3 my view/aim will occasionally just jerk off into a different direction , often when i am not even moving the mouse.

I have tried different DPI levels and in game mouse sensitivity, as well as with mouse smoothing on and off.

Is there a setting i can adjust to fix this or is it a problem with the mouse.
