Low FPS in game, in OBS, and the PC just straight up doesn't like the software. Hitting recording is like hitting death button. Large FPS drops

What games are you playing, and what is your FPS before/after you start streaming/recording?

Haven't tried overwatch recording, but I get about 78 FPS in COD modern warfare, game goes down to about 60 when recording but the OBS shows decreased recording quality and low FPS for all even though it says 60 fps. I get about 90 in Destiny 2 but same issue as before. I can't even record Minecraft or old games

I don’t really know what you expect. You’re playing at 1440p on a 6C/6T CPU. You’re going to suffer there. You can try switching your encoder from x264 to one of the other ones, as they stress the GPU more instead of the CPU, but you might still suffer as it’s only a 1660Ti.

I also don’t understand what the issue is with gaming/recording at 60FPS? What’s the issue?

You’re not going to be able to stream/record without a dip in performance.

My issue is I am not getting the 60 fps on the recording, I don't have a prob with getting 60fps in

I also am only recording at 1080 and I have the same issue with 720

I even tried downscaling the game to 1080

Everyone else I've talked to has no issue, some can even do it with lesser hardware

I still can't figure out how a PS4 can do so

I literally asked you what FPS you where getting while streaming/recording and you told me 60fps... So what fps are you getting when you record/stream? The fact of the matter IMO is your specs aren't capable to run/record that at the same time.

I said I get 60fps in game both times, I just don't get the 60 fps in the video. It doesn't matter if it's just impossible to record with a 1660, the card says it has a NVENC dedicated processor to have low impact recording

I don't understand. You get 60 fps while recording? But your recording isn't 60fps..? Or you're not getting 60fps while recording?

Yes, I get over 60 fps in game while recording but the recording itself shows lower than 1080p and has less than 60fps

Are all your drivers up to date? Is all software fully updated? Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling, etc?
