So I've had a look on the google for an answer, but when I put my WDG 120GB M.2 SSD on my motherboard it doesnt even detect my Kingston SSD unless its in another SATA Port on my Motherboard, can someone tell me why this happens?

If you need anymore details about the setup then let me know :)

Very often, M.2 SATA interface shares lanes/bandwidth with onboard SATA ports, so if you use M.2 SATA drive, you will very likely disable some SATA ports on your motherboard.

Read your motherboard manual for details, which ports get disabled.

M.2 NVMe is not affected by this, as they use PCI Express interface.
