hi,first post here guys,sr for my bad english if it happens(don't judge me pls)

i'm just planning to build a rig focus on gaming and maybe a lil' bit of video editing, not much, optimized for csgo will be the best option.

I want to spend about 800us$,cheaper will be great, not including mouse,keyboard,monitor,etc..

this is my current list, not looking too good

-SPEC-

~retail price,Vietnam~

Asrock B450M Pro4-F ~70$

Ryzen 5 3600 ~205$

SSD Kingston 240gb A400 M.2 2280 SATA3 ~42$

HDD Seagate ST2000DM005 2TB ~63$ (I pick this randomly)

RAM Adata Spectrix D41RGB 8GB 3000Mhz ~46$

PSU Cooler Master MWE 550 Bronze V2 ~56$

AIO Cooler Master MASTERLIQUID ML240R RGB RAINBOW ~112$(picked this cuz I think due to overclocking the CPU can get a lil' roasty so waterblock needed)

a random m-atx case ~25$?

VGA <200$ (more cheap more convenient for me)

and that's it,i haven't pick the vga because i don't no what to choose, thus it exceed the budget

any suggestion?

I'll upgrade to 16gb later when i got a part-time job or smt, should be quick

can AMD stock cooler handle base clock with long working time?

i'm not that hardcore gamer so overclock could leave to later matters

its designed to handle it at stock. also, isnt that 3600 a bit expensive than what it is priced right now?

wait. where are you from? AUS$, USD$ and CAD$ is quite mis leading.

The stock cooler can handle base operation fine but it'll run a little warm. You could go with a basic single-fan tower cooler for a lot less than an AIO tho.

I'd recommend 16GB of RAM, 8 will work but might struggle especially in video editing.

You also might want to consider a different SSD-- the A400 is fine for a budget model but DRAMless, so its real-world responsiveness isn't great especially when close to full.

For graphics cards, the 1660 super is an excellent option at just over $200, I don't know how easy it is to find there though.

I'm not sure if you need the watercooling for the 3600, I'm pretty sure that you can buy a nice fan with half the price that can handle the heating caused by the CPU

Sorry for taking all your RGB out, but since you want it cheaper I need to do this haha

You could switch that RAM for a G.Skill Ripjaws V one, it's cheaper and it also has a higher frequency: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/mV22FT/gskill-ripjaws-v-8gb-1-x-8gb-ddr4-3600-memory-f4-3600c19s-8gvrb

I don't think this one is a ugly RAM stick, you can get it in red or black, but it doesn't come with RGB ;(

Try to check the retail price for this one :)

Drop the watercooler as the stock one is good enough. Also make sure to buy a dual kit of Ram as a single stick can affect performance.

Not sure how good/bad that psu is off the top of my head, so check the psu tier list in the psu section.

might get a single-tower and i’ll check the psu that linus use in his livestream last week “gd for good”

By the way, I'm in the same situation as you, I'm also building a budget build, the only part is that I only have 700$ for the components haha

I've been doing A LOT of research, and i've come to the conclusion that this build might be the best you can get for this price, you can take some ideas of it or even copy it! :)

Try to see the retail price for these components on Vietnam

Good luck ❤️

Extra notes:

the ryzen 5 1600 there is actually the ryzen 5 1600 AF;

I'm thinking on chaning the psu to the 450w or 500w variant just because i'm thinking on upgrading my rig in the future

Wow that sucks! It's higher than mine, I am going to buy it for around 80$ haha

Take in consideration that the red one is actually cheaper than the black one ( by a lot, I don't know why)

There's one thing you can do with amazon, if you "buy" amazon prime, you can have free shipping and even discounts.

By "buy" I mean, experiment the 30 day trial they give for amazon prime just to buy the stuff you need and you get free shipping, that's what I am going to do in a couple of days haha

i’ve search some parts on amazon later this evening and some not even ship to my country, thus the price and shipping fee is different for each sellers.

i’m just afraid of scam, bad products and warranty problems, typical newcomers‘s problems.

might stuck at retail here boys :((
