LG34GK950F - 144hz not showing up??

Go to solution Solved by Glenwing,

3440 × 1440 at 144 Hz requires DisplayPort 1.4.

GTX 780 only supports DP 1.2.

Hello fellow internet patrons,

I would be extremely appreciative if someone could help me get my monitor to run at 144hz refresh rate.

Computer Specs:

CPU: Ryzen 3800x

RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200

MOBO: Gigabyte 450 Aorus M

GPU: GTX 780

Monitor: LG34gk950F

I'm using the 5K DP1.4 cable that came with the monitor.

I go to NVIDIA Control Panel but the option is not there.... only 100hz. I cannot edit it in the windows display either. I've tried updating drivers, I've tried unplugging and re plugging the cable in. No other monitors are connected no other computers are plugged into the display. I've updated the Monitors Firmware to the latest, I've downloaded the OSC (on screen control), no options to change refresh rate there. I'm at a loss, LG support claims the monitor is fine and it must be the PC settings.

Thank you very much for any help!
