wierd backlight bleed

Hi, so i recently got a new monitor (asus vg258qr) and it working great, love the higher hz!

 

But I started noticing this ring around the middle of the screen when viewing darker stuff in games etc. And it's annoying me a little.

All other monitors i've had only had backlight bleed on the sides of the screen. Is this normal or should i try to get the monitor swaped?
