It is base 2133MHz, I’m overclocking to 3000MHz which is its labelled capacity

here are the DOCP profile settings

What is the original timings the RAM stick sets as default RAM timings ?  You will have to loosten those timings 15 cas latency is to low you won't be able to take her to 3000Mhz.  Try 17 CL and change the 35 to 41 and let me know.

I’m going to preface this by saying that I am very new to overclocking and don’t really understand how to tweak ram timing well.

I have been trying to overclock my corsair vengeance ram to its proper 3000MHz. I started by just trying DOCP profile, which resulted in a boot loop. I manually changed the timings to those from a video on youtube and that has worked so far, but only at 2666MHz. My voltage is currently 1.35 and I can’t figure out how to make 3000MHz work

(EDIT) Last night I enabled OC tuner which worked to boost my ram and cpu, but this morning it did not boot with the same settings. I’ve learned that auto tuning can over-increase voltage so I’ve decided not to use this. Perhaps my voltage is just too low manually for 3000MHz?

I’ve also successfully slightly boosted my cpu to 3.7GHz

Asus B350 Prime Plus

Ryzen R5 1600

Corsair Vengeance LPX3000

GTX 1060 3gb

Thank you!

Put the timings your RAM is and change to 3000Mhz.  Are you trying to OC ?  Is it 2666Mhz stock ?

I'm not sure what the default timings were for the RAM besides the default DOCP profile settings.  I just changed the timings to 17 17 17 17 41 with 2933MHz with 1.35V and it is working.  Should I tighten the timing and or decrease the voltage, or leave it be?

As long as you don't go above 1.35v your good.  no worries, glad we got you fixed.  Its a huge OC which is why the timings have to be 17 CL

The overclock that worked yesterday will no longer boot. What could be the issue? It runs fine on 2666MHz.

Ive heard of this happening.  What would fix it is if you OC from WIndows.  Same problem with the box I got for my cousin it wouldn't stay at 3200Mhz and it was 2133Mhz.  My old man got a 9900k Aorus and we didnt have to touch anything except for fan curve.  Eventually we fixed my cousins without me being there.  He OCed thru the AMD app , if Intel then the Intel app and set it to profile 1 and put it to 3200Mhz and save it.  The BIOS is drunk for lots of people so this is not the first time Im hearing this.  It is sad but no worries, OC in Windows and it will keep it,  AMD or Intel, but usually its AMD that gives this stupid issue.
