Hello all I need to upgrade my monitor and need some advice.

I need it to have HDMI and D-Link connectors

At least 144hz

Can display PS4 and my windows pc

Cost max £400 UK, $493.61 USD, $690.72 CAN

Be 27 inches, 68.58 cm

Is it worth paying for a 4K monitor or should (can?) I save money going for a 1440p monitor?

PC specs: i7-6700k 4.4ghz

                 Nvidia GTX 980 4GB

                 16gb RAM (2x8gb)

                 1TB ssd Samsung 850 EVO

To me personally I am good with 1080p on a 27 inch AOC, but I would not mind 1440p and 144 Hz. 4k seems a bit too much for a screen that size and in terms of fps you would want to upgrade to a 2080 Ti and a 9900K. Even then you will likely not hit that refresh rate on a single GPU. So in short, get a decent IPS panel for good color reproduction @ 144 Hz and 1440p. Go 4k if you have over 3k budget or wait until GPUs are catching up in performance.
