Safe Isolated HDD

I’ve just updated my pc and have moved from previously hot swappable ssd disk to M.2 drive and additional ssd disks in the case. I use a test disk that previously I could isolate to download files prior to allowing this on my safe system to protect my data. Now I can’t hotswap the m.2 is there a way to implement a similar system?

Do you have Windows 10 Pro?

I’ve had a play around with sandbox on windows 10 pro but due to it only running a vgpu it is incapabale of testing certain software packages.

You could create a VM with Virtual Box.

Yes and it's pretty easy to use, you'll need a Windows 10 iso file and you can create one using the Microsoft Media Creation Tool.

 

Then you install Virtual Box, create a new VM and install Windows like you would on a normal PC.
