I prefer controller over mouse and keyboard. I had a logitech f710 that worked good for a while, but after upgrading to windows 10 i couldn't get it to work with any games. I bought an xbox one controller for pc for $110 and after a few months the left analog stick would 'drift', that is after i stopped pressing a direction it would keep registering movement. I got it replaced luckily cause it was from Walmart, but after barely using the new one i have the same problem. Is there a controller that wont break that works with most games?

You got an xbox elite controller that had drift, and two of them at that?! I have had one, but I don't game "all that much". My brother uses his Elite controller on average id say 69-70 hours a week, and he goes through them every maybe 5-6 months. But he gets them from Bestbuy and gets the extended warranty, so he has only actually paid for one...

I am very surprised your getting drift that quickly. His have never actually failed like this, the rear rubber starts pealing off from the plastic body (the new version fixes this, which he now has as he has had it replaced within the time the new one has been out). I feel like that is just some bad luck... I don't know of a higher quality controller that will work on PC :/. If Scuf has stuff for PC, that may be a good option to check out.

I use my old ps3 controller when I play on the pc.  Works well wired and wireless with a bluetooth dongle.  Maybe that would be ok for you.

I'm using a F710 now without a problem on Windows 10.  Have you tried updating the drivers?  Also make sure the switch on the top of the device is set to the X setting instead of D for Xbox controller compatibility.

I game pretty heavily and have used xbox controllers as well.  Eventually after 6 months to a year all controllers seem to eventually develop drift for me.
