Is the Netgear XR500 worth getting

Looking to upgrade my very old router. Still using a gigabit wireless n netgear lol. WiFi speeds are horrid being that it’s an old n router and I tend to do file transfers from my home server with my laptop and I need a better router

 

right now I was looking at the Netgear XR500. I wanted a router with the netduma firmware being I game a lot but also have good wireless.  I was going to just get a WiFi 6 router but I currently don’t own any WiFi 6 devices and I don’t plan on getting any time soon but if it’s better off just going wifi 6 over this lmk 

 

what are your guys thoughts ??  If there is a better router out there lmk I have not really kept up what’s good
