Hello, I think I have a pretty good computer, can run most things, but I still want to upgrade it a little, because of some GPU and CPU overheating and I want some games to run a bit smoother. I'll post my current specs and then the same build, but just with the parts I want to exchange. I'd appreciate very much, if you could maybe help me with my choice (I basically have everything chosen already, but maybe you will have better options for me), help me with compatibility with my old machine and if everything will fit in the case.

So these are the things I'm gonna be changing: PSU, GPU, Motherboard, Case and CPU Cooler

Also I'm currently using 2 monitors, one HDMI and second one VGA (using reduction for the VGA one as my GPU doesn't have VGA port), Both are 1920x1080 60Hz. In the future, I'm planning to add a third monitor - probably 144Hz, but I'll still want to use all three.

This is my current build:

Couldn't find my Case on there, so it's this one: SilentiumPC Armis AR3 TG-RGB Pure Black

My current CPU cooler is the Stock one, that came with the CPU: Wraith Spire

Also I have two external HDDs, but I'm not sure if it changes anything, I wasn't able to find their full names, but this is what's written in HWMonitor:

WDC WD10SMZW-11Y0TS0

WDC WD30EZRX-00D8PB0

- One of them is 1TB the second one is 3TB..

Okay, and here's my upgraded build:

For the GPU I was also thinking about "NVIDIA RTX 2070 S"

And for the Case I was also thinking about "Fractal Design Define S"

My budget is around 1000$ (just for the components that I want to upgrade),

thanks for any response in advance!

This isn't really helping on your situation, but would you recommend the Ryzen 5 2600X? I'm currently in the process of choosing parts for a new PC I'm building for around £500.

Intel i5-9500, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD, 1x 120mm Fan.

Upgrading soon to an ITX GTX 1650 (4GB).

In my opininon Ryzen 5 2600x is really great, didn't have any major problem with any game I played (but I didn't play any super new AAA games) and the CPU doesn't overheat even with stock cooler. (Well mine does overheat, but I really push it to it's limits so that's why I'm looking for a new cooler)

Are you buying the 1080ti used? How much are you spending on it? New ones go for around a thousand. I would recommend a rx 5600xt or a 1660ti, but if you were getting a 1080ti for the same price that is better. For the cooler I would go with the hyper 212 evo or the Arctic Freezer 34 eSports.

Yes, I want to buy used one, it's around 500$ in my country, it's from the most popular e-shop in our country, so it should be realiable.

Which country? What are some other new options around that price point.

I'm from the Czech Republic, and probably RTX 2060S, Radeon ROG-STRIX-RX5700XT, RTX 2070S (I already mentioned, that I'm thinking about that one aswell) and that's about everything. There are probably more options, but there's probably a shortage now, because there aren't that many GPUs available at the moment.

See if you can find a 2080 or 2080 super for around the same price on the used market, otherwise the 1080ti looks good.
