Help: Thermal problems

Go to solution Solved by APasz,

Most likely a little too much/little tim in that specific spot on the cpu package.

Not much you can do without tearing the laptop apart.

Hey,

My laptops has the I7-4800MQ
Under full load: (after 10 minutes)
core 1 = 75-81°C
core 2 = 76-85°C
core 3 = 82-92°C
core 4 = 91-101°C

I just hit it with an all core load, but for some reason the 4th core always skyrockets the temps. (Same when gaming)
Any suggestions/solutions?

So a possible solution whould be to redo the Thermal Paste?

Yeup.

This Friday i opened up my laptop, and have redone the thermal paste. Now all cores rarely hit above 80°C. A 20°C difference!

Thanks bro!

Now my laptop is contributing to the Folding@Home COVID-19 simulations 24/7, without me worrying about the temps!
