Memory OC help

I’ve got a Asus P8H61-I R2.0 motherboard with Patriot Viper 3 16 GB memory.  I’m new to OCing and learning what I can.  I’ve tried OCing and no matter what I do I can’t go past 1600 Mhz without the computer not posting after reset. Any helpful tips would be appreciated and any other info needed lemme know.

I've never done it outside of xmp profile but from what I get from the video you probably need to add a little bit more voltage and loosen the timing first.  Follow the tutorial, it's kinda good.
