So i wanna build a PC for my mother who deals with my bullshit and i have a budget of about 100USD because i'm also building my self a PC soon.

Found this Dell Optiplex 790 on Ebay Kinda like a 2 hour drive from me and i was thinking how can i make it faster for what she does?

She does real estate and basically just needs decent speeds for emailing and printing things along with uploading pictures from a camera, She said she doesn't do photo editing and her PC is literally ANCIENT and i wanna put a bullet in it

So should i buy like RAM and an SSD? And what would be decent budget options for around 40$?

Instead, just put an SSD in it. My mom literally uses a MacBook with a core 2 duo but my dad put an SSD in it and it's still more than usable today. It really is just the SSD that makes a lightning speed PC.

The only thing that would make it obsolete is that it was so old that it doesn't support SATA.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Honestly im not sure what's all in her PC but when i saw that things ANCIENT i mean the thing is really old it literally has like 3GB of ram and the CPU is always basically at 100%

Make sure you quote us so we can see your responses

Hit us with a CPU-Z screenshot or spec list, her PC might take a super cheap upgrade. You can find DDR2 and DDR3 on eBay for real cheap, so 2GB extra can just be tossed in, maybe you can get a really cheap dual core CPU or even quad core, and then the aforementioned SSD, and boom you're done.
