Cant get Windows to work on Samsung SSD

I'm at my wits end trying to figure out what wont work here.

I put together a new Build Including the following parts

Motherboard: Gigabyte B450m DS3H

BIOS Version.F41

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600

RAM: 8GB

Hard Drive: Samsung SSD 860 QVO 1TB

Now I CAN get it to boot and function on my old 500GB Dell HDD effortlessly. (Thats how I have been doing but Im revisiting this issue)

How do I get this Samsung one to work??

I'm attaching a picture of the notes I took of everything I tried... My original issue was getting Win10 installed onto it, felt confident i got it...but then it kept going into an install loop every time I tried to turn on and LOAD the OS.

I could see it was installed on the SSD, but it would still try to prompt me to install Win10, or would give me a "failure to boot" message

Since all that failed, I reset everything to default and went about my life with the old HDD

Since my last attempts I got a cable to plug the Samsung SSD into my front USB and I installed Windows directly onto it to bypass installing from a separate USB...still won't boot 🤦‍♀️

Please help...I want this new SSD to work so badly and I cannot figure out what to do or where the issue is

did you try the use other driver or something and install the uefi / storage / chipset drivers when selecting disk? win PE that is loaded during install will usually lack any storage and chipset drivers.

i have 2 nvme 960 pro in raid0 and had to do that.

and when it sees the disk you can delete all partitions directly and select it for install.

if you set system to legacy mode it should be able to install directly.. but that's not what you want either :D

Update: Trying to do it again from Square one and install Win10 from my USB. These are my defaults and errors

I have tried both Legacy and UEFI..it doesn't seem to wanna do either.

I would absolutely prefer UEFI 😣

The problem seems to be with my SSD.. especially because it works with my old hard drive just fine

you want windows to created the partitions it want by it self. delete that partition.

and use unallocated space.

I tried that before and it insisted on having its own partition...

So I:

- (In BIOS) Changed "Storage boot control" to "UEFI only"

-Tried installing Win10 Home (x64) instead of Pro

-Deleted that partition

Clicked Next

*Let it install Win10*

*Pull out USB drive*

Now it boots to my BIOS screen..

Changed "Storage Boot control" back to default "Legacy only"...still will not boot on this SSD, Even though I just watched it do the install

RAID is the only other option.

When I switch to that and retry boot

With "UEFI" Boot control it goes back to BIOS

With "Legacy" it gives me this page

It says "Reboot and Select Proper boot device"

I checked the SSD and windows is still installed.

I also tried the SSD in another Build, it also will not boot there
