Hi, I was planning on attempting to overclock my Ryzen 2600 so I decided to update the bios first as it was a 2018 release. This was a mistake lol. I updated to the latest bios for my mobo the MSI B450 A Pro and then it swiftly went downhill from there. I knew something was wrong when the system rebooted after flashing the bios and CPU fan sounded like a jet engine (normally its pretty quiet). So I booted into windows and ran Cinebench to see if the CPU was still performing as usual (it was slow to boot into windows). To myself surprise my score had dropped from 2650ish (just prior to the bios flash) to 1300ish.

My first reaction was to try to flash back to the old bios but quickly found that I couldn't as the bios I was using was pre 3rd gen Ryzen and it won't let me roll back that far. I have tried all the different bios updates after that up to the current release and the same issue persists. I managed to calm my fans down by enabling smart fan control but the CPU is still extremely slow.

Have updated the chipset drivers and updated windows but no luck.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this issue?

Thanks
