Hi all. Just wanted to save a few time saving measuresI recently had to go through will add more if they come up.

1) use rufus to burn image to usb in DD mode (If you have the latest version of rufus this option came up after I hit start). This was a wierd issue where the USB worked on my old machine using balena Etcher, but did not work on my new machine.

2) if you have a brand new asus mobo like me, ensure you disable secure boot and check uefi settings on boot devices. My asus came stock with the 1405 bios, but I did not have any on the reported issues associated with people who updated.

3) After installing Solus, if you install steam, vulkan, wine, lutris, etc and its not working, run ”sudo eopkg up”. This will update dependencies and afterwards everything worked great for me!
Loving solus with budgie!

For secondary hard drives: Twitch , steam libraries , etc it does work if you use multiple hard drives. My trick to finding the location was to go to my 2nd drive and open patch in terminal. Maybe it’s an Arch thing, but the location isn’t /dev/sba. Its /run/media/username/drivename.

That should help you move game libraries, etc. This was how I was able to set up twitch to manage my addons in wow, Move native steam library etc. its just in a different location than in used to.
