Bare drives

Yeah, why not? Unless you can get a retail boxed one for cheaper, which sometimes you can, just get a bare one. 

 

EDIT: Unless the warranty is different, in which case, you need to decide what matters more to you.

All of my drives have always come in a anti-static bag and nothing else. I don't know if there are retail boxes for them
